As long as they're factual...

The White House says it can't be propaganda as long as it's factual...and hey, it's not THEIR fault!
"The video news releases — from the Pentagon, Agriculture Department, Census Bureau and other agencies — have the appearance of other segments in news programs and frequently are not identified by local stations as being produced by the government.

White House press secretary Scott McClellan suggested the lack of disclosure was the fault of the broadcasters, not the government."

Propaganda is like Pornography. Hard to define, but when I see it, I know it.

Regarding these government sponsored video news releases: I KNOW it's propaganda.

And one other thing to note: That propaganda doesn't just make itself. We taxpayers are paying for propaganda to convince US that what our President is doing is a good thing.

If that doesn't register on your Stink-O-Meter, maybe this will: we're operating this country at a whopping deficit, so what we're REALLY doing is borrowing money to create propaganda to convince ourselves that what our President is doing is a good thing.

My Stink-O-Meter just got busted...
