The Enforcer

The Republicans are currently at an extremely low point, with Scooter Libby under indictment, possibly more bad news coming from the Department of Justice and the death toll rising too quickly in Iraq. Then we have Tom DeLay and Bill Frist, both looking like common criminals. The president's polls are deservedly way down; Congress isn't looking much better. Unfortunately, the Democrats' ratings aren't much higher than those of the Repugs.
But, according to an October 20th article in Rolling Stone, we may have a Democrat who is able and willing to take advantage of the 'mess the GOP has made'. Read about Rahm Emanuel, Illinois House member and head of the DCCC, in the Rolling Stone story; then read his voting record. It sounds to me as if he is just what we need to round up our lost and straying Congressional cattle and get them on a winning path.
Now all we need is a really great candidate for president.
