"Reconsideration" of the Posse Comitatus Act: Part 2

The Bush administration's incompetence in the response to Hurricane Katrina has caused Bush to consider eliminating the Posse Comitatus Act, as posted on this blog by ProgressiveGrannie on September 30, and is still making news. A very frightening essay was written in 1992 by Lt. Colonel Charles J. Dunlap, Jr. (now a brigadier general) in the Army War College journal Parameters titled The Origins of the American Military Coup of 2012. The essay was written in the form of a letter to an old classmate by a retired armed forces officer who had been court-martialed for opposing the military coup of 2012, and is now known only as Prisoner 222305759.
Reading the essay reminds me of the feelings I had when reading "The Plot Against America", by Philip Roth and "It Can't happen Here" by Sinclair Lewis: pure horror.
