Sign the Pledge for Peace

Sign the following pledge here

"I will not vote for or support any candidate for Congress or President who does not make a speedy end to the war in Iraq, and preventing any future war of aggression, a public position in his or her campaign."

Then go here to watch the cost of this illegal war go up by thousands of dollars every minute of every day. And that's only money. For even more distressing information, go to Iraq Coalition Casualties to see the real cost of the war.

peace is not the absence of war, peace is the result of war.

Pledges for peace, Sheehan fasting with hippies, and planting trees will not end all wars.

Here ya go:
We all know how Israel's various wars, particularly since the 1960's have provided the world with PEACE ever since. The Viet Nam war provided us with a free and peaceful country "united" in communism since the mid-70s. The various wars in Africa have yielded and extraordinary amount of peace there, wouldn't you say?

Simplistic sayings like "peace is the result of war" are almost unfathomably stupid. And while Sheehan may keep no one from getting killed, Lord knows she's brought attention to, and became a focal point for the anti-war movement.

At a time when Americans weren't effectively expressing their distrust of the incompetent President, Sheehan came along and did so quite effectively. A year later, the president enjoys about a 33% approval rate, and a 67% disapproval rate. You my friend, are on the losing side of fact. Put another way, you're simply out of touch with the American people...
