Academic Association Protests Bush Policies

The leading professional body for academics in journalism and media studies has passed an official resolution protesting the anti-press policies of the Bush administration. The Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication believes that the press should keep the government honest. They say, "that the current administration has enacted policies that attack the press specifically and by extension, democracy itself". The resolution lists 10 major grievances, including the staged town hall meetings and the payments to writers to create fake news stories both here and in Iraq.
It amazes me that this man has 30+ per cent of the American population still believing his lies. Are they the people who don't read? The double digit IQ folks? How DID this happen?
