Yes, it could be, says Kathleen Reardon in the Huffington Post. It does make sense, Rovian sense. Ms Reardon believes that when something seems out of kilter, it probably is. She also believes that Bush is in on it. Think of his naturally idiotic behavior recently, one stupid act right after another. The mouth open chewing & spitting food,the Republican Scarborough with the "Is Bush An Idiot?" show and Blair agreeing with his Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott that "Bush is Çrap". Kathleen Reardon suggests that, if the Dems take Congress in November, impeaching Bush will die out. "So the guys not too sharp, we agree, so why bother."
In her book "It's All Politics", Ms Readon expands on this theory. She worries that if this continues with more conservatives joining in, we would have nothing to fight. And we could end up losing in 2008.

Y'know, a few posts below I asked if you were from Boerne. I asked if you wanted to get together and talk about politics like intelligent adults. You then disappeared. Does that mean you don't have the courage of your convictions? Now that I've proven you wrong on the main theme (that there are no positive posts) let me prove you wrong on the next. I've never--EVER--prevented you from posting. That would be the function of someone else, who thinks this kind of interchange gets too personal and strays too far from the issues. I found out she'd prevented you from posting and asked her to unlock that. Notice how you can now post? That's my doing.
So you were wrong on both counts.
I happen to believe that while this IS very personal, that's where the battles are actually won. I called a man once who had written a letter to the editor that I strongly disagreed with. We talked for 45 minutes on the phone. Really connected. He was a good man. He then wrote a letter to the editor the next week backtracking on a lot of what he'd said.
As to the "whining" and negative posts: you perceive them as that because they put your political party in a bad light. I suspect you don't describe Bill O'Reilly or Sean Hannity's diatribes against liberals as whining.
So now that I've proven you wrong, do you have the cojones to get together and talk--you know, like adults do--or are you simply enamored with the anonymity of the www?
