Michael Dowd Falls Out of Love

Aide to 'W" since 1999, Michael Dowd has become disenchanted with the president. He was originally impressed with the Bush ability to seem concerned with big issues such as education and immigration. Mr Dowd was also impressed with the Texas governor's ability to work with the Democrats of Texas. So impressed that he changed parties to help this man become president.
After the 2004 election, Dowd hoped that Bush would get back to his Texas style of governing, but then came the Katrina fiasco and the refusal to meet with Cindy Sheehan, preferring to entertain bicyclist Lance Armstrong at his Crawford ranch. Mr Dowd concluded then that Bush "may not be the person he thought he was".
The disappointed Michael Dowd is the first 'member of the Bush inner circle to break publicly with him'.
I'm waiting for more shoes to drop.
