It's Almost Time to Vote...still more speechifying

Everyone's being called back to their delegations so that the votes for the head of the Texas Democratic Party in Texas.

The candidate for Agriculture Commissioner has just been introduced by his sons. They were in Texas flag shirts...the father, Hank Gilmer is wearing an American flag shirt. His cowboy hat's in place...my Texas cheese-o-meter has pegged just now...it's getting a little thick, in my humble opinion. I don't know enough about the candidate to say anything about his positions, but the presentation is a little over the top.

He says our position "sucks," which roused some laughter. He seems to have an agricultural background, which, given his choice of office to run for, is encouraging. He claims to have made his decision to run when reading in the newspaper who was running for office for the Republicans.

Now he's rousing the crowd...claiming Governor Goodhair is even more stupid than George W. (rousing laughter and crowd response).

This guy may be sharper than his over-the-top presentation (his wife's got an American flag shirt, too). He's speaking out against the corporatization of agriculture, which sure makes me happy. Yeah, this guy is wrapping the crowd around his finger...slowly but surely.
