Today we have celebrated the birth of the great civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr. Let's face it, if he were alive today he would be disgusted at how the clock is beginning to turn back. He also would be dismayed at how we learned nothing from Vietnam. Read Mideast expert Juan Cole's thoughts on King's view of war.

The MLK March in San Antonio yesterday was huge! There were more people at the end to hear the speeches, etc. than last year. My grandson and I had a wonderful time. The best part of the march is the historic timeline that you can read as you march. My grandson is now well versed in what King stood for, and I am so proud of him!
