He doesn't do impromptu!
This article from a German magazine tells the story that Republicans here refuse to believe...their president can't be spontaneous because his handlers are terrified of what he'll say!

Gosh, I thought democracy meant freedom of speech. I guess Bush thinks that screening all questions from citizens in this country and elsewhere, screening reporters questions, and planting a "reporter" to ask questions to make him look good, all are new ideas of democracy that I was totally unaware of...you see, I thought that kind of behavior smacked of dictatorship. Guess, King George is not only educating the US on democracy, but Europe as well. It's George's democracy or the highway.
